What Nisab does

Clarity first, then conviction.

Most crypto tools tell you what is moving. Nisab starts with whether a coin passes your screening, shows you the reason, and only then shows you the charts.

Halal screening

Every coin gets a status and a reason.

Each of the top 100 coins is labelled Halal, Uncertain or Haram against clear principles, with a plain-English reason you can read and judge for yourself.

  • A short reason on every coin, not just a label
  • A "last reviewed" date and a next-review date
  • Search and filter by status in one tap

Real technical analysis

Indicators calculated from real price data.

Insights are not a gimmick. RSI, MACD, moving averages and more are calculated from real historical price and volume data using standard formulas, then summarised into an insight score out of 10.

  • RSI, MACD, SMA 50/200, Bollinger Bands and Stochastic RSI
  • Support and resistance levels and volume trend
  • Interactive chart with the indicators drawn on it
  • Insights refresh daily, and are never predictions

How we screen

Our method, in the open.

You should not have to take a label on trust. Here is exactly what we check, how often, and what we have not yet done.

1

No riba

The coin's design must not depend on interest, lending at interest or guaranteed returns.

2

No excessive gharar

No extreme uncertainty or deceptive structure in how the asset works.

3

No maysir

No gambling-like design, and no coin that exists mainly as a bet.

4

Halal use

The asset's purpose and the business behind it must be permissible, with no core ties to prohibited activity.

What the labels mean

HalalNo significant concern found against the four checks.
UncertainScholars differ, or part of the ecosystem raises concern. Do your own research.
HaramA clear conflict with one or more of the checks.
Reviewed→Dated on every coin→Re-checked every 3 months

What we have not done yet

Classifications are currently researched by Kynetic Systems using AI assistance and public information. They have not been certified by a qualified scholar or Shariah board.

Where scholars differ, we mark the coin Uncertain and explain why. Think a coin is wrongly labelled? Tell us and we will re-review it.

Questions

Straight answers.

Is Nisab certified by a scholar or Shariah board?

Not yet. Classifications are researched by Kynetic Systems using AI assistance and public information, applying clear published principles. They are a starting point for your own research, and they are re-reviewed at least every three months. We will say so here if that changes.

How is a coin judged Halal, Uncertain or Haram?

Against four checks: no riba, no excessive gharar, no maysir, and a halal underlying use. Where scholars differ or the ecosystem raises concerns, the coin is marked Uncertain. Every coin shows its reason and the date it was last reviewed.

Is this financial advice?

No. Nisab provides information and education only. Insights summarise past price data and are not predictions. Crypto is volatile and you can lose money. Please do your own research and consider speaking to a licensed adviser.

Does Nisab hold my money or place trades?

No. Nisab never takes custody of funds and never places trades. It is a research tool, so your assets stay with you.

Where does the market data come from?

Prices and historical data come from the CoinGecko API. Prices refresh regularly during the day, and technical insights are recalculated daily.

Is there a mobile app?

The web app works in any phone browser today. Native iPhone and Android apps are planned. Join the Pro waitlist and we will let you know when they launch.

Who is behind Nisab?

Halal classifications are a baseline and have not been certified by a qualified scholar. Cryptocurrency is volatile and carries significant risk, including loss of capital.
